Introducing the G500: A Very Special Private Jet When it comes to luxury private jets these days, Gulfstream lead the way big time. Their latest offering, the G500 has come in a whole year ahead of schedule, and is probably the single biggest reason why the company has a $11.5 billion backlog of orders on their books.   Let's take a closer look at the upcoming Gulfstream G500. As they say, try before you buy!     Amazingly, the G500 is part of a whole range of exciting new luxury private jets made by Gulfstream…     And it's probably not even the most expensive. So, relax. And welcome aboard!     The jet is 91 feet long. It reaches a top speed of Mach 0.925.     The two engines that propel the jet with 15,144 lbs. of thrust are PW814Gas made by Pratt and Whitney Canada.     The jet is able to reach an altitude of 51,000 feet.     If eight passengers are lucky enough to board the plane, they can be carried around the globe at up to 5,754 miles per hour.     Though the jet is actually capable of carrying 19 passengers when the need arises..     The marvelous interior was designed after considering input and feedback from Gulfstream customers.     The seats can be tailor made to suit the requirements of each particular customer.     Though the jet may be fitted with coffee-makers, these can be easily switched for espresso machines in half an hour, such is the philosophy of flexibility.     The cabin is fitted with the latest Wi-Fi internet technology, which is said to be 34 times faster than that of Gulfstream's closest rivals.     The jet has a ventilation system which can entirely replace the cabin's air in only two minutes.     Each and every seat has digital controls.     The seats are positioned to be suitable for meetings.     And they can be converted into comfy beds.     This bathroom would not be out of place in a swanky hotel.     The cockpit has all the latest communications and control systems for the pilots.     There are a whopping 10 touchscreen control panels.     Furthermore, the G500 is the first non-military aircraft of any kind to be fitted with active side-stick control technology.      This is going to be one luxurious ride!
