12 Mind-bogglingly Large Creatures and Things! Have you heard of Alice in Wonderland Syndrome before? It's a condition where everything appears to be bigger or smaller than it actually is. With that being said, there are some creatures and objects that are so large, they appear to have come from another planet! Take a look:    1. Traffic lights      Most traffic lights are as tall as the average child, but we don't often notice them due to them being hung above our heads.  2. Excavator     This excavator, which is called the ERShR-7000, It's used to excavate the upper ground layer of a mine before the minerals underneath it can be extracted. It can operate at a speed of 130 yards per hour and has no less than 16 buckets. 3. Frog      The Goliath frog is the largest species of frog in the world, with specimens capable of growing up to  7 lbs in weight and over 12 inches in length. They're confined to a small area of western Africa and are threatened with extinction. 4. Flower      The titan arum can grow up to 10 feet high and gives off an odor similar to rotting meat - wonderful. It hails from the forests of the Indonesian island of Sumatra and is cultivated in botanical gardens around the world. 5. Mosquito      This mosquito, boasting a wingspan of no less than four inches, was caught in China. It's a specimen of the Holorusia mikado species, which is about twice as larger as most other mosquito species. You'll be happy to know that this species doesn't drink blood, and is rather bad at flying. 6. Cruise Ship      The Allure of the Seas, one of the world's largest passenger ships, is 236 feet high and 1,187 feet long. She can accommodate up to 6,400 passengers and more than 2,000 crew.    7. Bat      This gigantic resident of southeast Asia is often referred to as a flying fox. Although it looks terrifying, this bat feeds exclusively on fruits, nectar, and flowers.  8. Tire      Bridgestone is a huge tire manufacturer that comes from Japan. It makes these 13-foot-high tires for rigid haul trucks that operate in quarries. They weigh no less than six tons apiece! 9. Swimming Pool      Located on the Chilean coast, the world's largest swimming pool is more than 3,300 feet long, covers 20 acres and has a maximum depth of 115 feet. It takes no less than 66 million gallons of seawater to fill it, and what's even better is that its water is normally some 48°F higher than that of the ocean on its doorstep. 10. Nut      The Coco-de-mer nut grows on trees in Seychelles and weighs about 55 pounds. They grow up to five feet long, with their diameter being around 3 feet.  11. Wine Barrel      This 204,574-liter wine barrel can be found in Cape Town, South Africa. What's more is that it isn't the only one of such a larger size - there are a further five barrels in the vicinity, with the largest of them all having a capacity of 207,302 liters. 12.    The anchor chain of the Queen Mary 2 cruise ship, which travels around the world with 5,000 passengers on board, has a diameter of five inches for a single link of chain.
