Ferrari released its LaFerrari hypercar for the road back in 2013, then built a limited production, track-only variant of the car called the FXX-K. In 2017, it has gone one better, announcing the build of the fearsome FXX-K Evo. As can be expected of current limited-edition Ferrari, the FXX-K Evo produces a prodigious amount of horsepower – some 1,036 to be exact.. All of that power will be reined in by a Formula 1-style traction control system, Ferrari's third generation of electronic differential, electronic brake distribution and reconfigured dampers. Its engine will redline at 9,400 rpm, and stick to the tarmac with a staggering 1,800 lbs of downforce. It is expected that the FXX-K Evo will be able to lap Ferrari's Fiorano test track in 1 minute 13 seconds, which is five seconds faster than the LaFerrari can muster. |
