A headache, runny nose, and rising fever are symptoms that are common to quite a few illnesses, and many times when we experience them or some of them, we diagnose ourselves and conclude that this is an illness that we've had in the past. Despite the familiarity with these symptoms, there are other symptoms that may indicate other illnesses that you should go to a specialist to diagnose. It is important to keep your doctor up-to-date with all the symptoms that you experience not just by diagnosing yourself - out of concern for your health - because they are often far more serious than the common cold and flu. The symptoms of strep throat are manifested in a sore throat, light fever, exhaustion, and swollen lymph nodes. When you tell your doctor only about these symptoms, in most cases they will prescribe antibiotics, about 3-4 days of rest and send you on your way. If you have other pains, such as abdominal tenderness, skin irritation and especially after antibiotics, edema, and swelling in the eyes, they should also be reported to your doctor because it's probably Mononucleosis (kissing disease) rather than just strep throat. Your doctor will require you to run blood tests, take painkillers, and get more sick days. Flu symptoms have been known to us since childhood and include a runny nose, sneezing, tearing, and swelling of the eyelids. In most cases, the doctor's treatment will usually be only a few days of rest, taking fever-reducing painkillers containing acetaminophen or ibuprofen, as well as drinking plenty of water. However, if there are other symptoms listed above, such as an increase in body temperature above 100.5 degrees Fahrenheit (40.6 Celsius), lack of appetite, dry cough and a rash that appears 3 days after onset of symptoms and up to 8 days later, than you probably have the measles and you need to see your doctor immediately and fill them in on all of these symptoms. The treatment for measles will include a blood test or a saliva test to confirm the diagnosis, rest and painkillers until complete recovery, and this is only if complications haven't developed. The liver is an organ with few nerve fibers and therefore pain is not a common symptom of this organ. If you experience pain on the right side of the abdomen, nausea, yellowish skin, persistent itching and weight loss, you should contact your doctor immediately. The patient must elaborate and share with the doctor all of their symptoms since there is a possibility that this is liver cancer, which forms a growth on the tissue surrounding the liver or inside of it. If the suspicion turns out to be true and this is indeed liver cancer, the patient will be sent by the doctor for a test that includes a biopsy or diagnostic laparoscopy as well as sorafenib drug therapy which is used as an anticancer drug. However, if there are other symptoms, such as dark urine, frequent bleeding from the gums or nose, abdominal fluid accumulation (bloating reminiscent of the first months of pregnancy), loss of memory, and an accelerated pulse, it may be cirrhosis of the liver and treatment in this case will include medication for infection, a low-sodium diet to reduce body fluid accumulation, high blood pressure medication, as well as creams and ointments, to relieve the itching caused by the disease. Rheumatoid arthritis is a disease in which the body's immune system mistakenly acts against tissues in the body itself, where patients have difficulty in moving joints, pain, and swelling as a result of inflammation. Usually, when the body is functioning normally, there is no pain in joint movement as joint cartilage slides on the synovial fluid which is used as a lubricant. In contrast, patients with rheumatoid arthritis develop substances that damage the tendons, cartilages, and bones. Chronic rheumatoid arthritis is not always easy to identify because in many cases the pain does not differ from normal joint pain. For example, if you experience dull pain, morning stiffness, redness, swelling, and joint pain, rheumatoid arthritis may occur. The doctor will refer the patient to a blood test, X-ray, and MRI scan, as well as prescribe anti-inflammatory medication. However, other symptoms, which include: severe fatigue, restless sleep, impaired concentration and memory, problematic bowel movements will point to fibromyalgia - which is not an inflammatory disease and can be treated with covalent drugs and antidepressants which experts believe is part of the disease. Dermatitis is a broad term that refers to a large number of different skin diseases, whose commonality is the inflammatory process that actually appears to be the main cause of the disease. The most common skin infection is usually caused by external factors and may also occur after contact with basic or acidic substances. All inflammatory skin disease is accompanied by unbearable itching, scaly skin, and swelling of the skin. The treatment methods that are usually given are emulsions, special creams and a special shampoo designed to rid the skin of dandruff. Also, when you see a doctor, tell them about the symptoms and show them the affected areas of your skin, for example; if the itch is between your fingers, on the palm of your hand, around your nipples or the folds of the waist, the location of the itch may indicate scabies. Scabies is actually a contagious skin disease caused by mites that penetrate under the skin layer and lay eggs. Treatment will be accompanied by the application of a paste containing sulfur or a low-dose insecticide on the entire body as well as washing all bed linens in boiling water – this is done to kill the mite Clinical depression is a type of mental disorder that has an ongoing pattern of poor mood, loss of interest and pleasure, sleep disorders and appetite. Clinical depression has effects that affect personal relationships and family relationships and cause distancing of the person suffering from depression. There are a variety of treatment methods for depression, the main ones being; Antidepressant medication, and psychological therapy, or a combination of both. Although this is a disease that affects the psyche, most of the cases tend to be diagnosed by the physiological factors first. So if you experience other symptoms ; Bone pain, obesity, digestive problems, and hyperhidrosis, it is very ly that the source of the problem is a lack of vitamin D rather than depression. The treatment will include increased sun exposure, vitamin D drops and, of course, vitamin B-rich foods such as; canned tuna, Portobello mushrooms, fortified milk, orange juice and more. ADHD is characterized by restlessness, impulsivity, forgetfulness, procrastination, a tendency to lose things, and, of course, the inability to pay attention to detail consistently. These symptoms impair daily functioning and cause the person to be seen by the environment as irresponsible or inconsiderate. Most often when you see a doctor and you have symptoms that include restlessness, procrastination, etc.., medication will be given to temporarily improve your attention and concentration, which will relieve your doctor. |
