A Rose converses with you with its fragrant smell and beauty. It expects you to breathe, smell, sense and give response in smells which it enjoys. Its language is breathing, smelling, sensing and interacting. Observation of the Rose is automatically participation with the Rose, the subject matter. It is in accordance of the basic truth given in Quantum Physics that observation automatically is participation with the particles at the quantum level. There is only the interacting subject matter and not the slave, dead and inactive subject matter to obey your definitions, scopes and assumptions.
To obey your Cartesian foolishness, the subject matter must first be killed, so that it will be inactive and amenable to your definitions. Actually definition is confession of your inability, to feel any subject, because no subject is isolated, every subject has holistic connecting flows, and a definition actually blocks its free flow. In fact we go on discussing, what life is, when the obvious fact is that it is participation as a ripple of consciousness in the Universe of consciousness.
We are all, each of us an ever changing ripple of consciousness, continuously blending, acting and interacting with every other changing ripple of consciousness. The Holistic approach is the approach through feeling the universe of feeling.
In any science, is there any attempt to converse by feeling with any subject matter today? You live in feelings and emotions, but you want to remove all feelings and emotions in every science. The mechanical and emotionless approach is glorified as the scientific approach, where the subject matter must be inactive and dead. The very meaning of physics, which was meditation, is changed into mechanics.
This mechanics as Physics has created, such envy and inferiority complex, we have all Humanities protested as Social SCIENCES.
In economics the subject matter is the economic man, the feelings and emotions dead, totally jaded man in his ordinary BUSINESS OF LIFE.
My God, psychology is Newtonian Psychology! Meet anyone who graduated in Politics, he will stress that he studied the POLITICAL SCIENCE.
We are living in the age of science which met morphed into technology and the logic of the machine is made the logic of science. Our madness has become so chronic, in our effort for the inactive subject matter; murder of nature has become the day to day economic life. The murderous outlook has become the scientific outlook, the outlook that takes every subject matter for granted.
Today,if I say that the tree is talking to you by feeling, I will be treated as a fool,by people perched on the high horse.
