Before evolution developed the Brain or Cortex in the Human being, the organism was depending on smelling. It could differentiate among about four thousand different smells. Every other organism too perceived by smelling. The air blew information. Smelling and sensing was conversation and communication. Air became thought. Individual needs were automatically smelt and there must have been the symbiotic and automatic need satisfaction. It must have been the rapture of existence unlike the struggle for survival today. Reception of information, perception and response were automatic and reflexive. The Biosphere had one common smells language, which communicated on its own, with response, cooperation and coordination added. Worry and contemplation were absent.
Skeptics ask for proof to this statement of mine. I suggest that an isolated island, far away from humans be allowed and studied to determine as to how the organisms live and the part played by air and smell in their lives. We must forget the very idea of individual intelligence and concentrate on the macro phenomenon of breathing, smelling and sensing by all organisms.
What we call supernatural now must have been natural then. The gift of science and economic and industrial development appears to be the conversion of natural endowments into supernatural powers. The way we are Cyborging our existence, clearly points to the situation, where even the most fundamental physical and mental faculties will be lost and converted into the supernatural. As it is we have neutralized every other organism and removed them from participation in macro perception. Instead of being emotional partners of the macro body or the Biosphere, they are condemned to the status of mere resources. Our stupidity is so advanced, that we feel surprised that every organism has feelings and emotions, including the trees, plants and flowers. When you put a garland of flowers on some leader for felicitation, the trees must be feeling that their infants are cut and sewn as garlands.
The natural then is the supernatural today and we have Gods. No other organism, except the human organism, has this God concept. Our existence without the other organisms as emotional partners is basically unnatural. Instead of the Biosphere we strive to make God the substitute for emotional rehabilitation.
Now the bulldozers, cutting machines, chemical sprays, pesticides, insecticides and many other devices including the weapons of war have taken to the anti natural or economic life. We have the Humanities or the social sciences which are striving to study human beings as machines, with Newtonian physics as the role model. In every college we have the Zoology department where one finds all dead animals to study their mechanical structures. Mechanization today is anti-natural.
