The Ambition Hysteria!   A University is an extension of the Universe, meant to get subsumed in understanding and enlightenment. College means collaboration, for collective and symbiotic understanding. Phil means love. Philosophy means feeling love. The subjects Philosophy and Psychology were once one faculty. The object of Psychology ultimately was the development of understanding with and in love. The original meaning of Physics was meditation. The word Physics was derived from Physis the meaning of which was the essential reality. From Theo theories emanated. Feeling the enlightenment was Theology. The emphasis was on feeling and not on analyzing to death. Thoughts were not made into engineering assemblies. Unfortunately the spontaneous gestures of happy enlightenments were prescribed as essential ritualistic drills. The ritualistic drills were then forced, with terrible punishments for not following them. They became the terrorizing superstitions. Inquisition instead of enlightenment took over. The result was revolt, as Reformation, Renaissance and ultimately science. But science has changed into the monster-- mechanics, creating the ultimate monstrosity—economics. Mechanics has turned everything into machines without feelings and emotions. In the Universities the Faculty of Philosophy is ditched. Psychology is changed into The Newtonian Psychology—the study of the Brain as a machine. The entire reasoning based on breathing and the resulting emotional intelligence is called bias, the big sin. The Universities divorced the Universe—the infinite cauldron of feelings.
