Definition means making a phenomenon definite, certain, unambiguous, and clear. It has to be subjective mainly because one must define on one's own depending on one's angle and perspective of vision or one's path of enlightenment. It is actually the first step in one's participation in enlightenment, as a phenomenon of consciousness flow and continuous subsumation into the space-time the ocean of consciousness or simply the great vacuum. One must remember the basic dictum of Quantum Physics, that the Universe basically is in formless, super positional wave situation and it is notice by consciousness that a bit of wave becomes the first beginning of matter in the shape of a particle. Definition often becomes the advance determination even before experiencing a revelation, may be of that first notice.
One may, I am not saying must, trace one's origin to the first notice by consciousness in the vacuum of super positional waves, where the wave changed into a particle. May be one actually starts as an entity of consciousness, with that notice in the super positional waves. One's consciousness has no 3D shape.
I often wonder how it was when we were macro body or simply the Biosphere itself living by breathing, smelling, sensing, perceiving, understanding, interacting, rapturing in symbiosis with every other organism of the biosphere as a macro body or as Gaia undiseased by air converted into poisonous fume. Today we want definitions and some security in definiteness because we have cut ourselves away from the macro body.
