[ ::: ♥Keep_Mailing♥ ::: ]™ Jealous because of success of others?

Let's be honest here :)

Have you ever found yourself secretly wishing someone else would fail? I don't mean you wish them any serious bad luck, only that they don't become more successful than you?

Sometimes it's hard to wish others well, particularly those you know well – friends, colleagues, neighbors, family members. It's hard to see a colleague get the promotion you worked so hard for. It's difficult to see your friend on television, or your neighbor able to purchase a new car.

While it can be seductive, or at least habitual, to secretly desire to keep others at your level, it's absolutely not in your best interest. The way to rise to the top is to wish everyone well, to hope with all your heart that everyone can expand to their greatest potential, to wish that the people you know, and those whom you don't know, can all realize their dreams and achieve greatness.

When you wish someone well, it creates a momentum within you, an inner environment of success. It reminds your spirit of your loving and deserving nature. It creates the atmosphere within you to help you succeed and create abundance. When you delight in the success of others, it's as if you are sprinkling the seeds for a garden of success.

As you wish others well, notice how good it feels. When your wishes are sincere, they will serve as a reminder that giving and receiving are two sides of the same coin.

Truly, it feels as good to see someone else succeed as it does to succeed yourself. Start delighting in the success of others and watch your own level of greatness soar!

[ ::: ♥Keep_Mailing♥ ::: ]™ Experiencing Others' Pain --- A Win Win Situation This Way

The mosque is 5 minutes walk from the home and the passage is shade-less which means if a person has to walk to reach for Zohr prayer, he has to walk in sun all the way.  Considering 45 degrees temperature plus the hot air flow its little hard task to reach the mosque. The alternate is to reach there is by driving the car. Yet Mr Nasir thought to go to mosque by walk with the following two advantages:
  1. When you walk in the heat, you feel a little portion of the pain which gardeners, guards and cleaners have to go through daily while performing their duties. This kills your ego and make you feel like a down to earth person. And if you keep experiencing this pain, you tend to spend money for their benefits in terms of food, clothing etc.
  2. The dull and luxurious life style now a days has given birth to so many fatal diseases including heart choking, high sugar, high blood pressure, high uric acid etc.  Little physical work like this constitutes towards a healthy body and refrain it from developing chronic diseases. Further, sweating has several advantages like cleaner skin, lowering body temperature and guarding against sickness. Read this health article here.

So Mr Nasir selected the wise WIN – WIN option which is good for himself as well as for the society; directly or indirectly.

[ ::: ♥Keep_Mailing♥ ::: ]™ How to Get Thicker Hair Naturally

If you have thinning hair, there is no need to spend money on expensive treatments and products. There are many natural remedies to help you get thicker and voluminous hair.Hair loss is a common problem nowadays. As hair is regarded as an asset that enhances one’s physical appearance, balding or thinning hair is a problem that many want to correct as soon as possible. Some of the common factors contributing to thinning hair are excessive physical or emotional stress, hormonal imbalances, nutritional deficiencies, pollution, allergies, use of wrong hair care products, poor hair care routine, and heredity.

Here are the top 10 ways to get thicker hair naturally.

1. Eggs

Regular protein treatment is essential to enjoy stronger and thicker hair. For a protein hair treatment, the best ingredient is eggs.

  • Take one or two eggs, depending on the length of your hair, and beat it properly. Apply the egg on wet hair and allow it to sit for about 30 minutes. Wash your hair with lukewarm water and shampoo. You can use this protein treatment once or twice a week.
  • Another option is to mix together one egg yolk, one tablespoon of a hair oil of your choice and two tablespoons of water. Use this mixture to massage your scalp thoroughly. Follow this remedy once a week to enjoy thicker hair.

2. Olive Oil

Olive oil will also add body to your hair. Plus, it will help soften and strengthen your tresses.

  • Massage your hair and scalp with warm olive oil and leave it on for at least 30 to 45 minutes. Rinse it out thoroughly and wash your hair using a mild shampoo. You can also leave the oil on your hair overnight and then shampoo your hair the next morning.
  • Another option is to mix olive oil with some honey and apply the mixture on your hair. Leave it on for at least 30 minutes and then wash your hair.

Use either or these remedies once or twice a week.

3. Avocado

Avocado can also be used to get thicker hair as it moisturizes and adds body to your hair. Plus, the vitamin E in this fruit contributes to the overall health of the hair shaft.

  • Make a mixture of one mashed avocado, one mashed banana and one tablespoon of olive oil. Massage it on your scalp and leave the mixture on your hair for about 30 minutes so that the nutrients are absorbed by the scalp. Finally, rinse it out and shampoo your hair.
  • You can also make a hydrating hair mask by mixing two tablespoons of wheatgerm oil with half of a ripe mashed avocado. Apply this hair mask on freshly shampooed hair and allow it to sit for at least 20 minutes. Rinse your hair thoroughly and then shampoo your hair.

Use either of these avocado hair masks once a week.

4. Fenugreek Seeds

Fenugreek seeds can also be used to prevent hair loss and enjoy better hair growth.

  • Soak two to three tablespoons of fenugreek seeds in water for eight to 10 hours. Grind the soaked seeds to make a fine paste. You can also mix two teaspoons of coconut milk in it. Apply the paste on your hair and scalp and allow it to sit for about 30 minutes before washing your hair with lukewarm water. When done weekly on a regular basis, this remedy will prevent dry scalp and help you enjoy thicker hair.
  • Another option is to use the water that the fenugreek seeds soaked in overnight as a hair rinse. This will encourage hair growth and help you to get rid of dandruff. Use it once or twice a week.

5. Indian Gooseberry

The anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antibacterial and exfoliating properties present in Indian gooseberry can help a lot in maintaining a healthy scalp and better hair growth rate.

  • Mix one tablespoon of Indian gooseberry or amla powder in two tablespoons of coconut oil and heat until boiling. Strain the oil and massage it onto your scalp before going to bed. The next morning, shampoo your hair as usual. Do this on a weekly basis.
  • Another option is to mix one-quarter cup of warm water in one-half cup of Indian gooseberry powder and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Apply the paste on your hair and leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes before rinsing it off. Do not shampoo your hair for a few hours. Follow this remedy every few weeks.
  • You can also take the Indian gooseberry fruit and its extract as a dietary supplement for healthy hair.

6. Castor Oil

Massaging your scalp regularly with cold-pressed castor oil is one of the easiest ways to get thicker hair naturally. Due to its high viscosity, it coats the hair thoroughly and protects against hair fall. Plus, being high in vitamin E and fatty acids, it promote hair growth.

  1. Heat a mixture of equal parts of castor oil and coconut oil. Simply using castor oil will also work but it tends to be too thick.
  2. Apply it on your head and scalp and massage in circular motions.
  3. Comb your hair to distribute the oil throughout your hair and remove tangles.
  4. Cover your hair with a towel moistened with warm water.
  5. Leave it on for at least one hour and then shampoo your hair as usual.
  6. Follow this remedy once a week to enjoy lustrous and thick hair.

7. Aloe Vera

aloe vera gel

Another very popular ingredient that can be used to enjoy thicker hair is aloe vera, thanks to its moisturizing quality. It will also help restore the pH balance of the scalp.

  • Extract the gel from one or two aloe vera leaves and rub the gel onto your scalp. Allow it to sit for 30 minutes before rinsing your hair with lukewarm water. Do this once once or twice a week on a regular basis.
  • Another option is mix two teaspoons of coconut milk in fresh aloe vera gel and apply it to your scalp. Leave it on for about half an hour before rinsing it off and shampooing your hair. Repeat once or twice a week.
  • You can also consume one tablespoon of aloe vera juice daily on an empty stomach to enjoy better hair growth and overall health.

8. Henna Leaves

henna

Another easy way to get thicker hair naturally is to apply henna. Henna leaves will give your hair a rich natural color and make it thicker, softer and less prone to breakage .

  • Grind a handful of fresh henna leaves with a little water to make a fine paste. Let it sit for two hours and then apply it to your hair. Cover your hair with a shower cap. After a few hours, wash your hair thoroughly and shampoo your hair.
  • Another option is to mix sufficient water in henna powder to make a paste with a yogurt-like consistency. Instead of plain water, you can also use green tea for better conditioning. Keep the henna paste aside overnight. The next day, add one raw egg and two teaspoons of lemon juice to this mixture. Apply it to your hair and leave it on until it dries completely. Finally, wash it off and shampoo your hair.

Note: Make sure to wear your gloves when using henna and apply the paste using a hair brush to avoid staining.

9. Flaxseed

flaxseeds

Being rich in omega 3 fatty acids and protein, flaxseed can also help in promoting thicker naturally.

  • Soak one-quarter cup of flaxseeds in water overnight. The next morning, boil the flaxseeds in two cups of water over high heat while stirring occasionally. When the thickens to a consistency of foamy jelly then turn off the heat and strain the gel. You can also add a few drops of an essential oil to it. Allow it to cool and then use it as a hair gel. This flaxseed gel is particularly good for those with curly or wavy hair.
  • Even eating freshly ground flaxseeds can help promote shiny and thicker hair. You can also take flaxseed oil.

10. Healthy Diet

healthy diet milk

A healthy diet rich in protein and various vitamins and minerals is an essential prerequisite for healthy and thicker hair. Protein and B vitamins, in particular, promote thicker and longer hair.

So, include more milk, eggs, Greek yogurt (has more protein than the regular yogurt), poultry, fatty fish, beans, legumes, nuts, seeds, whole grains, and fresh green vegetables in your diet.

Follow these remedies religiously and you will notice improvement in your hair texture and thickness in a matter of weeks.

[ ::: ♥Keep_Mailing♥ ::: ]™ Sexual Education from an Islamic Perspective » MuslimMatters.org

It is never easy to talk to the children about sex or sex related issues. In fact, even more difficult is to decide at which age we should educate them about these issues though we must realize that Sex Education is more than just explaining intercourse to the children, and it may not be as difficult to get to the real topic if we keep taking care of the smaller issues related to it from an early age.

Raising children with Islamic values entails frequent religious discussions at home, including Qur'an and hadeeth studies. I said earlier that it doesn't have to be at a "scholarly" level, rather, it involves simple studies of the meanings of Qur'anic verses, reading ahadeeth books, discussing Islamic articles or listening to online lectures, etc.

Prophet (sal Allahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said:

"Whosoever gives me a guarantee to safeguard what is between his jaws and what is between his legs, I shall guarantee him Jannah." (Bukhari)

As eager parents for the betterment of our children's akhirah, we keenly train them in safeguarding what is between their jaws from a very early age, like ensuring that they know the harms of lying, backbiting, hurting others' feelings with their tongue, and not using offensive words, but we  ignore the same emphasis on safeguarding what is between their legs. We think that shutting down conversation about private parts is sufficient to teach them how to safeguard it. We must acknowledge that the issue of safeguarding private parts is repeatedly mentioned throughout Islamic texts:

وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ لِفُرُوجِهِمْ حَافِظُونَ

"And those who protect their private parts" (Mu'minoon: 5)

"…and the men who guard their private parts and the women who guard…Allah has prepared for them forgiveness and a mighty reward." (Ahzab: 35)

When children go through these ayahs or ahadeeth, they ask questions and we must be ready to, age-appropriately, answer their questions.

Educating children about their body parts:

Private Zone: From a younger age, around 2-5, children should be taught about their private parts and the necessity of keeping them covered and protected from others. As mentioned before, it is very important to educate them about molestation. Young children need frequent reminders. It may be a good idea to talk to them every now and then about how their private parts are off limits for anyone else and if anyone ever tries to touch them, then they must immediately tell their parent/s.

One of the common misconceptions is to believe that educating or emphasizing the importance of safeguarding private parts will put "ideas" in a child's mind. A number of parents follow the "don't ask, don't tell" methodology. This is not only wrong but is equally harmful. We talk to our children about the perils of talking to strangers or crossing the road, etc. because we realize the dangers of keeping children ignorant about their safety, hence we prepare them ahead of time. Similarly, if this subject is left unexplained, we leave the doors of danger open for our children.

Curiosity: Sometimes children become curious about others' body parts. If they are not explicitly taught what is expected of them, and especially why, then they cannot be blamed for "experimenting" with their own, their sibling's, or their friend's private areas.

Spiritual Hygiene: As we teach them the physical hygiene of their private parts, we must concentrate on the spiritual hygiene also: Tell the children that Allah loves those who protect their private parts, and doing the opposite is pleasing to shaytaan. This can be explained in an age appropriate way. As they grow older, the deeper meaning of the ayahcan be told.

When the discussion about the body parts is kept open from the beginning, it only makes it easier to take it to the next step. As the children grow above 5 years of age, parents should determine according to each child's level of maturity and circumstances in educating them about more complicated issues. Nevertheless, IF a child asks a question, it must be answered truthfully.

Let us discuss a few commonly asked questions:

  1. What is the difference between a girl and a boy?
  2. Where do babies come from?
  3. Why can't mommy pray?
  4. How does the baby get in mommy's tummy?
  5. What is Sex? (a number of questions go under this category) Why do people want to have GF/BF? What is adultery (zina)? Why do people commit adultery? And so on.

Parents, always keep in mind:

  • Tell the truth: Remember babies don't come from the stork.
  • Keep a smile on your face, but don't joke around.
  • Make an eye contact; appear confident even if your heart is beating 200 beats/min.
  • Only answer the question; don't voluntarily offer too much information.
  • Appreciate them for approaching you and not asking anyone else.

I'm going to suggest a few answers for each question. Let's discuss them in order:

1. What is the difference between a girl and a boy?

Explain the difference between a girl and a boy including the difference between the private parts using whatever names a child may have for their private parts. It is a good time to shortly and age-appropriately drop a line or two about how their bodies are different and that's why Allah has made them responsible for different tasks in life. They can also be told about how emotionally they are different too, but this explanation may not sink in until after 8-10 years of age. It will help them understand the different roles and responsibilities Allah has assigned to different genders.

2. Where do babies come from?

Draw a small diagram to show a child where babies stay in mother's womb and how Allah'azza wa jall has given the mother's body the capability to pass out the baby through the private parts. They will be surprised and let them be. Explain to them that this is the system Allah has made. Most likely they will ask, "Does it hurt?" Be honest and say, "Yes it does, and that is one of the reasons why Allah has made mothers so special and has ordered children to listen to their mothers and fathers."

Seize the opportunity to teach them what Allah has asked them as children:

It is also a good time to encourage them to memorize the du'a. This way, not only have you answered them truthfully, but you also showed them that discussing these issues, in a respectful manner, is not a taboo in Islam as Allah Himself has acknowledged a mother's difficulty of child bearing.

I remember my son once said, "I am so glad my wife will get pregnant and not I!" I told him to appreciate his wife for going through the difficulty. It is also a good way to start training our young sons to be responsible and kind husbands from an early age.

3. Why can't mommy pray?

After a certain age, blood passes through woman's private areas and she cannot pray or fast during that time. Next, explain briefly and in simple terms the biological reason of periods. Make sure you don't overlap into the topic of reproduction.

If your child asks why you (or someone else) is not praying, please do not give false or tricky answers like, 'I've already prayed' or 'I don't have wudu', etc.  We have discussed this before that false information is a lie.

When my daughter was around 6, I told her that something happens in a woman's body and she cannot pray during that time. I explained to her that this is what Allah has said in the Qur'an, and when she is older I would explain to her fully but if she becomes very curious and wants to know then she should ask me. She agreed. Later, once she started reading Bulugh-ul-Maram, around 8 years, I explained it to her. I also advised her not to educate her younger sibling about it and that she should keep the discussions/questions between us. However, if she was going to a public school, I would have told her earlier.

Also, this was 8 years ago. Unfortunately, the way our society is progressing, I would not take the same approach with my younger one. Hence I advise if your daughter is around 5 or 6, then educate her about menstruation depending on her level of maturity.

Training our sons to be better caretakers of their womenfolk:

Similarly, explain menstruation to your sons as well. Also, take this opportunity to explain to them the hormonal changes and emotional difficulties that a female goes through at this time. Encourage them to be patient with their mothers and sisters and remind them to be understanding towards their womenfolk's mood swings. Again, it is a good way to train our sons to be good future husband and care takers of their womenfolk.

This gentleman, Ravi Gopal, I am sorry,he does not deserve to be called a gentleman, is either a Hindu zealot brainwashed by the anti-christian propaganda by RSS elements, or an imbecile, who does not know what he is talking.

India was never one before the British brought the entire country under their unified rule.So there was no question of India going for war with any other country.

No sensible man will  say that Christians are leading immoral lives in the names of Jesus. It is Christians who  brought morality among Indians. To prove my point  I do not want to go into the promiscuity in Puranas as it may offend the feelings of the pious Hindus. It is the British rulers who brought an end to the evils of Sati and human sacrifice, which were part of Hindu culture.  Remember, all the culprits, who raped and killed "Nirbhaya" brutally are sons of Hindu mothers. It is the the Hindu or Indian culture, which is responsible for  the corruption in India, the west which is predominantly of Christian culture, is almost corruption free.

I am definite this person, his parents, or any of his relatives might have been borne in a Christian hospital and/or might have been educated, (if educated) in a Christian educational institution. He may not be aware that Christians which form only 2% of the population in India are running 60% of the hospitals and 40% of the educational Institutions in the country. He also may not be knowing that St. Stephens college of Delhi is ranked as the top most college in India.

Another important thing, in the history of free India,  till now not a single Christian has been caught spying for any country; almost all  of the spies caught working for Pakistan have been Hindus.

Coming to the question of religious places, I am of the opinion that the Govt. should not be selective in demolishing religious places which are on Govt. land. i can say that in Delhi alone there are more than 1000 Hindu temples which are on Govt. land, and the number is increasing every day. Not a single one has bee demolished or will be demolished by any Govt. But you will not find even  a single church on Govt. land in Delhi. I cannot say about Gujarat where the mosque has been allegedly demolished. My point is that the Govt. should not be selective in demolition and should demolish temples, churches or mosques if found to be on Govt. land.

Well said Mr Ravi Gopal,

We all should think of only development and filling backlog created in last 68 years by selfish politicians.

Whats is use of Mandir, Masjid's and churches if there are thousands of beggars sitting with hungry stomach and childrens with bare feets outside?

Every day people die in India like animals in road accidents. Today's report says 120000 people lost their life in India in last year due to road accident only.

I am sure the figure of animals died is definitely less than this. This means life of a human being is worse than animal.

I request you all to try one thing whether he is Hindu or Muslim.

Just go to Mandir or Masjid and just look at the people who take care of that house of worship. Do you see any faith on his face? Is he really worshipping the god? If you see carefully at all Panditji, Maulana, and fathers you will notice they are just doing the business and nothing else? Their daily target is just to fool maximum people and get money out of their pockets. That's all worship is for them.

So my dear friends, if some Mandir or Masjid is demolished in action against encroachment,  plz do not criticized, please support it. your will have wider road to drive your vehicle after demolition, and it will save at least one life in an year. A life of human being is more important than a useless monument of God Allah or Bhagwan.

regards,

Sunil

They do their best in their field of activity to make the country strong, pleasant and happy one.  India is ever indebted to these wonderful Muslim and Christian brothers. The country knows how to honour them and honouring them in every possible way.

Muslims in the name of Allah and Islam treat women as their dirt and are taking the Universe 200 years backwords.

Foolish Christians in the name of JESUS are leading an immoral life not able to differentiate  between mothers, sisters and Your children, my children and our children have become the order of the day.  They lead animal way of life.

Foolish Hindu Indians, forgetting their past and tradition fall a prey to these and indulge in nonsensical activities including suppressing women and seeing their own mothers and sisters in a different way.

One should not worry for demolition of temples, Masjids and Churches since GOD who gave permission  to human beings to view HIM as Allah, Jesus, Radhakrishna have stopped residing in these places of worship where money and money only decide things including our own faith and Bhakthi.

Dictators have never succeeded and China will see its downfall in our times only.

I salute each and every patriotic  Hindu, Muslim and Christian who has constructed a temple, Masjid and Church in their hearts and always thinking about the Nation.

300 years of Moghul Rule or 200 years of British rule has not shaken this great country.

It will be better in our interest to ignore messages which are likely to spread a doubt in our minds and disunity amongst ourselves.  We need not only thoughtless awareness but also doubtless awareness.

Why Mr Thomas has suddenly changed your mind?

Why don't you take it positively instead if calling its fascism?

Do you think such things will be handled in democratic way int the country of 120 crore where every 10 kms has different community and cast?

Fascism is the demand of this situation, when things are out of control and can not handled in constitutional way.

Sometime bullet becomes more important than ballot. This is how China is handling almost 150 crores population on gunpoint in situation when people doesn't understand the language of constitution.

I am not a supporter of BJP or Modi, but one who wants to maintain communal peace in the country

RE: [ ::: ♥Keep_Mailing♥ ::: ]™

U can have many postings about all religions for good information sake but no need for anyone to make nasty comments and attack holy persons. Keep it to your twisted warped mind which is a failure as a human being.

Religion should not be  a taboo in these columns. I read postings about Hindu Gods and Puranas and temples and even about Quran as I feel that it add to my knowledge. What should be avoided is talking ill, especially of other religions. Just now I have sent a reply to one imbecile person, who said that Christians in the name of Jesus are all immoral. Such postings which talk ill of other religions should be blocked.

Dear Friends,

This group is mainly for exchanging pleasantries and good things which come across our day to day life.  If religion is kept away it will be in the best interest of this group.
