The film starts with a woman singing a lori (lullaby) to her child while her husband seems distressed at something. The intelligent twist in the tale comes when we realize that there's no child, just a toy she was playing with. The husband is sterile (incapable of bearing children) due to his smoking habit.
It leaves a strong reverberation of the child's cry in our minds: a powerful reminder of the grim consequences of smoking & how it affects the lives of not only our own but our loved ones too.
Research estimates that one in two smokers will die from a disease caused by their smoking habit.
