Warm Regards

We live in a pathologically dissatisfied world. And I'm going to tellyou why. Because we love to compare.Go around the world and discover that people aren't happy with theirbodies. Filipinos want to be fair-complexioned like Westerners and sobuy bleaching stuff.Westerners want to own bronzed bodies like ours and so purchase tanninglotions. Those with moles have them removed, while those who don't,strategically implant beauty spots. Some people want to shed a few pounds to look like Ally McBeal, whileothers want to gain some baby fat to look like Drew Barrymore. When are we ever going to stop and simply be happy with how we look? Welive in a sick world, I tell you. And that sickness is comparisonitis.Take a look at wealthWhen we drive our old Honda, it really suits us fine. We feel blessedin fact when the rain pours outside and we feel snug and cozy on itsfaded upholstered seats. But the moment we see our own office mate (or neighbour, or buddy, orcousin, or brother) drive his sleek sky-blue, four-door,four-wheel-drive Mercedez, we automatically feel like third-classchildren of God.Next time we drive our bumpy, noisy, rusted, dilapidated Honda,(noticehow all the defects come out all of a sudden?), we feel deprived, dispossessed, pariah-ish, debased and only a little higher than theinsects of the earth.Listen carefully - Bill Gates' total assets are worth $60 billion. That's more than the GNP of some small countries. Tiger Woods earns$80 million simply by smiling on TV in a Nike shirt. And the starsof the sitcom Friends are paid $750,000 per episode! My point? No matter how hard you work, there'll still be some people who will bericher than you are. And there'll be some people who will be morebeautiful, have more sex appeal, have more boyfriends and have more problems.Try it for once. Stop looking around. Don't compare!Don't compare her nose with your nose. Don't compare his wife with yourwife. Don't compare his salary with your salary. Don't compare her breastsize with your breast size. Don't compare her kids report card with yourkids report card. Don't compare his prayer group with your prayer group.Don't compare her cellulite deposits with your cellulite deposits.Stop comparing and Start living! And you'll be happier with your life,I guarantee. This is crucial:The most difficult thing in the world is to be who you are not.Pretending and trying to be someone else is the official pastime of thehuman race.(I don't think dogs and cats and cows and horses have this problem.)And the easiest thing in the world is to be yourself. Be happy. Live! There must be a reason why God made you tall or short or fat or thin orbumpy all over.Love who you are!Be happy, it's not that difficult!
As a Friend and a Brother,
I will try to explain to you the meaning of "Life."
You need not have to accept what is said here if you do not wish to.
No one can understand Life.
As it is, Life is a human concept, a word, and we have to use words and concepts,
though I have said before, we are NOT of this world.
We are not the body which is represented by our ego with the given human name
. We are the selfless consciousness.
Our ego uses human language to interact with each other to help us understand life,
but not to remain attached to the words used.
Our understanding gives awareness to our consciousness.
Humans freely use the word "God" (another human concept) to teach each other t
o be "good" and this began the concept of duality of good and bad/evil, right and wrong,
love and hate, joyful and suffering, happy and sad, etc. etc.
With the use of mythologies, organized religions played with the human mind, using the ego
, and applied the concept of God's judgment,
Satan, sins, hell, fear, and all the negative aspects none of which can exist in the true reality of Life.
The human mind can create and give power to this negativism in our relative world where physicality exists.
You are advised to think positively always.
We are now here physically on earth as who we are, is of our own choice,
without prior knowledge of our past lives. In this way,
we totally forget the past and start anew in our present life.
It is to resolve the consequences of our past actions in past physical lives,
as some may say to resolve our "destiny" or "karma." It is not punishment.
It is the universal law of cause and effect.
We create new destiny as we replace the old, hence the saying "Life is what we make of it."
So Brothers and Sisters, accept life as we are. Flow with the tide,
as there will be ups and downs in life
. But know that there is a reason
for everything that happens though we may not know why.
Be happy and continue to evolve towards enlightenment.
Have a nice day.
