SOME OF THE VERY BEST SCULPTURE PARKS OF THE WORLD.
(A  pps of largest transport movers is attached at the end)

1. Storm King Art Center, Mountainville, New York

Recognized as one the best sculpture parks in the country—if not the world—Storm King and its 500 acres of rolling hills and woods house more than 100 sculptures.

2. Vigeland Park, Oslo, Norway

While many outdoor sculpture collections cherry-pick from a host of different artists, Oslo’s massive Vigeland Park is the handiwork of one: Gustav Vigeland. From the more than 200 pieces displayed—Vigeland favored wrought iron, granite and bronze—to the landscaping and arrangement of the sculptures, the artist spearheaded the entire process. (The park was completed between 1939 and 1949.)

3.Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Wakefield, England

Located on the Bretton Estate, which dates back to the 18th century, Yorkshire Sculpture Park houses five indoor galleries on 500 acres of land, with no less than 60 sculptures on display at any given time.

4. Billy Rose Art Garden, Jerusalem, Israel

This collection at the Israel Museum was originally designed by renowned sculptor Isamu Noguchi and founded by U.S. impresario Billy Rose and offers a peaceful, relaxed environment in which to view an impressive lineup of works.

5. Olympic Sculpture Park, Seattle, Washington

In a winning example of city preservation, Olympic Sculpture Park, which opened in 2007, is a collaboration between the Seattle Art Museum and the Trust for Public Land. The partnership set out to preserve the site—the city’s last open piece of waterfront property—and the resulting nine-acre institution overlooks the majestic Olympic Mountains and Puget Sound. (The park has won 19 design, architecture and engineering awards, and is a popular gathering place for Seattle locals.) 6. Park Güell, Barcelona, Spain

Barcelona itself is awash in the imaginatively whimsical stonework of Antoni Gaudí, and perhaps nowhere is it shown off better than at Park Güell. Completed in 1923, it is filled with a variety of walking paths that allow visitors to take in the art, the architecture and the impressive surroundings. Massive tiled seating areas join towering stone pillars and colorful surprises, making it a visual treat that is worth the journey.

7.Chianti Sculpture Park, Siena, Italy

The organic feel of the Chianti Sculpture Park is by design. Cradled in the Tuscan hills, the curators invite each of its artists to visit the location and choose a site based on what feels right to them. Opened in May 2004, the park showcases works from 25 countries in a variety of materials like glass, steel, granite and bronze.

8.The Fran and Ray Stark Sculpture Garden, Los Angeles, California

The J. Paul Getty Museum is about as stunning as it gets, and its outdoor sculpture offerings don’t disappoint. The 28 works—a gift from film producer Ray Stark and his wife, Fran, in 2005—include sculptures dating from 1911 to the late ’80s by heavy hitters like Alberto Giacometti, René Magritte, Saul Baizerman, Elisabeth Frink, Ellsworth Kelly and Roy Lichtenstein.

9. Changchun World Sculpture Park, Changchun City, China

If you can get past the semi-overwhelming statistics of Changchun World Sculpture Park—227 acres holding 441 sculptures by 397 artists from 212 countries and territories on five continents—this internationally inclusive collection is worth a visit. Located in the capital of the Jilin Province and opened in 2003, the park claims Friendship Peace

10. Parque Jaime Duque in Colombia is an eclectic tribute to God, as well as the country’s national symbols and icons of world culture. Named after a famous aviator, who helped open international air routes to Colombia, the park lets you wander among a recreation of the Taj Mahal, a replica of the archeological site of San Agustin, a giant map of Colombia, a museum of 700 life-size sculptures that tell the story of mankind’s history, the seven wonders of the ancient world, a medieval castle which recreates Dante’s Divine Comedy and other curiosities. For perhaps the best look at the various attractions, hop on the park’s train for panoramic view.

11. Great Stone Face Sculpture Park in South Korea.
Where can you see the world’s most famous (and infamous) people recreated in stone? At Great Stone Face Sculpture Park in South Korea.  About an hour or so by bus from Seoul, this park is full of sculptures (mostly just large faces) of everyone from Sharon Stone, Elvis, Fidel Castro and Abraham Lincoln to Jesus and Arnold Palmer. The founder has created a space that he says honors some of the most important political leaders, writers, scientists, philosophers, artists and more from 180 countries around the world. The park is divided into themed walks like Buddhism, Greek Gods, Musicians, Sports Stars and others. You can even catch a demonstration of how the “faces” are created.

12. The Algarve Sand Sculture Festival at Portugal (Largest sand sculpture festival in the world)
Every year, the Fiesa International Festival of Sand Sculpture is one of the most popular attractions in the Algarve. 35 thousand tons of sand is meticulously moved, compressed, carved and etched into amazing larger-than-life sculptures. It is considered the largest sand sculpture festival in the world. In 2014, the festival runs from 25 May to 25 October.
