MORNING COFFEE
| "What do you think counts?" If you're not sure, then it's time to rediscover what you feel is important. In other words, what fuels your passion? To rediscover this passion, start by simplifying your life. Quit doing things merely out of habit. Turn off the TV for a month or turn off the radio while commuting to work. See where your mind takes you. When you find yourself saying, "I love that," or, "This is fun," take note. That inner voice is leading you toward your passion. Become comfortable with the idea of doing what you like. As you discover what you enjoy doing, you'll find answers to what counts for you. And, that's what being passionate is all about! ©Jane Powell Remember What Is Most Important. . . It's not having everything go right ; it's facing whatever goes wrong. It's not being without fear ; it's having the determination to go on in spite of it. It's not where you stand, but the direction you're going in. It's more than never having bad moments; it's knowing you are always bigger than the moment. It's believing you have already been given everything you need to handle life. It's not being able to rid the world of all its injustices; it's being able to rise above them. It's the belief in your heart that there will always be more good than bad in the world. It's remembering that every day ends and brings a new tomorrow full of exciting new things. It's loving what you do and doing the best you can. Vickie M. Worsham Grand adventure Life can be astoundingly beautiful and rich. There are possibilities that go far beyond anything you could imagine. Today is your opportunity to live the adventure. Right now is when you can find immense fulfillment in bringing life's best possibilities into being. An entire universe, overflowing with abundance, stretches out in all directions from where you are. You can feel and see and know, you can learn, adapt and act, and you can fulfill your deep longing to make a real difference. If you choose to fill your days with doubt, hesitation, self-pity and resentment, you miss out on the greatest opportunity ever. Choose instead to push enthusiastically forward every chance you get, and to fully live the adventure. If you expect someone else to do it all for you, you'll end up with a whole lot of terribly painful regret. Make the commitment to take full, hearty, ambitious responsibility for making your life the grand adventure you know it can be. You're never too old or too young or too poor or too rich. Each and every moment brings fresh, new opportunities for you to add to life's magnificent substance, including the one right now. Ralph Marston
