Qizai is the only brown and white panda in captivity now.
Giant pandas are found in a few regions in China. Qinling Mountain is one of them. It is well known that there are brown and white giant pandas in Qinling. So far there is no sighting of brown and white pandas in other regions ( according to what I know, I may be wrong )
The first brown and white panda in captivity was in 1985. It was a female called Dan Dan. Her first babies were twin. They were black and white! unfortunately they died quite young because during 1980s, China hasn't mastered the skill to take good care of panda babies. Her third baby was also a black and white panda. It was a male panda who lived until about 17 years old. Still it was too early for him to go. Nowadays, pandas in captivity can live up to about 37 years old !
Brown hairs are also found in black and white pandas. Please look at the 2nd photo. Many would think the brown color at the stomach is due to dirt. No, they are brown hairs !
