Dears,
You know I was addicted for smoking for over 23 years,
sometimes I was like a crazy smoker with female friends/colleagues even I was smoking at home specially during the pregnancy period of my wife.
I never listen to my family members like my wife and children's request me many times and I was very happy with this poisonous habit.
Even when I get sick like fever or too much cough I never stop I use to add some other things with cigarette like mint or clove just to cure cold and cough.
Sometime I use to stop for few hours or days then again back to the crazy routine due to the high demand of health destructive friends.
Then I have realize that I am spending my own hard earn money for destroying my own health (super good health) and effecting my family as well,
As during my College/University days I use to play at state level in NCC I was a cross country runner (8 – 10 kms./day) and I was taking part in athletic, swimming, boxing, cricket and football ETC.
But finally I have decided that now I have to QUIT smoking, Allah help me give me courage and make my will power strong in the year 2011, ever since I never touched again. Real Full Stop
When I stop smoking that time I was having STOCK / inventory like this……….. 2 packet each at Office Desk, 2 pkts in my Laptop Bag, 2 pkts. at Home, 2 pkts in Car as I don't want to run out of stock.
I keep this stock for 2 – 3 months than I had given to my friends and known people and told them that I have Stoped now you also Stop it.
All you need is Your Confidence, Your Good Willing, Your Good Aim, Your Patience, Your Sustainability, Your trust.
Wishing All the smoker very best and very good wishes for Quiting Smoking.. Please try In sha Allah you will be Successful.
Kindest Regards
SM-Arif

Subject: Re: [World Malayali Club] Ho to stop smoking Cigarette
Hi Mahesh, I used to smoke more than 5pkts a day for over 25 years and wanted to stop. At first I had the same problem as you had. But for the last 15 years, I haven't smoked a single cigarette. It took me almost 6 years to really quit smoking. At times, I could stop for 6 or 7 months at a stretch, but back to square one after that. I even tried by cutting down the number of cigarette in take, step-by-step. Did not work for me. Tell everyone you know that you are quitting this bad habit. Do not count the number of days you went with out smoking Ask everyone not to offer you a cigarette at any occasion. These tips helped me. No one can make you quit smoking, only you can. I guess you have the will to do it, and that is the most important thing. Once you achieve your goal, you will be only happy that you did it! I should say never give up. Enjoy a cigaretteless life. All the best! dvs
