The transparent train
This train has been designed by the prestigious Japanese architect Kazuyo Sejima. And when circulates, gives the impression that was transparent and that it is possible to see the landscape through it. Of course everything is an optical illusion, whose secret is that the entire convoy is reflective surface. So it works almost like a mirror. It is planned that the train starts moving regularly in 2018.
Kazuyo Sejima is designing a new express train for Japan. Commissioned by Seibu Group, the train will belong to the team express limited arrest of the company and will be a "friendly" addition to the "Red Arrow", which so far has traditional designs in bright colors, series standing out in the landscapes walking.
In line with the architecture of Sejima, the initial concept features a lightweight design that allows the train semitransparte blend into the landscape.
Pritzker-winning architect and cofounder of SANAA is responsible for designing the interior and exterior of the train. The project is expected to be completed in 2018.
