In the age of faith, education was experiencing revelations about nature with the student as an emotional participant in the rhythm of nature. That was the objective of education and that sadhana in nature, with nature as a participant subsuming the student in the nature's ebb and flow, taking the student step by step towards the ultimate enlightenment, feeling the oneness with nature and developing intense love and attachment towards nature was the God destination objective. Nature represented God. Often the Gods with the help of the devotees, had to fight the Satans or Rakshasas who said that the ordinary man in his ordinary BUSINESS OF LIFE is a greedy and selfish lout with no finer feelings or emotional attachments, except gobbling utilities, the so called units of enjoyment. Nature according to the Rakshasas is only a resource for use. The word use also means abuse. Today the words use and abuse are synonyms.
Suddenly about three hundred years back mankind, snared itself into the metaphor machine, and all thought changed to mechanical thought with absolutely no emotions or sentiments. It is based on the exclusion of the student from the subject matter of dedication. At the personal level the student's emotions are adulterations and contaminations of the revelations. The revelation called knowledge can be stored as so many symbols of language, formulae etc, and anyone can have access to them without personal sadhana. The 10000 year accumulated knowledge or revelation is denigrated as the age of darkness. Education no longer is personal experience. Personal experience is actually bias which must be avoided or ostracized.
Today the Rakshasas cult---economics—has converted human life into a routinized murder of nature. Education as revelation is gone. Revelation is the domain of machines and the machines dictate. The Techno-Talibans are called entrepreneurs. Their mission is profit for themselves, which means shifting their expenses to the society, to the environment...
Education is no longer a study of the successive stages of revelations and enlightenments as a study of History. It is just a study of the inanimate mechanical transformations. The subject consciousness is dumped.Well, I expect many of our members feeling that I am very extreme, but we are paving the way to mutations that can live by breathing the carbon monoxide etc.Already the male sperm count is dwindling. We are to become the last traces of today's biosphere. When you look at the bulldozers cutting away forests, digging away the earth or detonating away the lithosphere and the hydrosphere, you are looking at the pre-mutation stage of another biosphere.
The anaerobes are arriving.
