[ ::: ♥Keep_Mailing♥ ::: ]™ RAJNIKANT'S RECORDS

It's Monday and the first Kabali weekend is officially over.

While the final verdict is still divided, the film has managed to break

a lot of records, because RAJINIKANTH, obviously!

It's safe to say that there is no one and I mean no one in Bollywood,

who can match up to Thalaiva's stardom.

Considered a god in South, many critics even went on to encourage cinegoers

to watch the film, if only for the Rajini experience.

If you thought it is limited to just the country, then here's a surprise. Many theatres

worldwide were booked way in advance and Rajinikanth himself gave a surprise to his

foreign fans by walking into a US theatre right in the middle of a screening.

Not only is he lauded for his acting skills, but there are a zillion other things that he is liked for –

mannerisms, antics, gestures, persona and even his jokes! Such is his charm.

He came back after two years with Kabali, his last film being Lingaa, and broke all the

unimaginable records, on the opening day itself. Before Kabali, it was Salman's Sultan

which was hogging all the limelight, but the moment Kabali released, everything else faded

into oblivion. Not only did it manage to smash Sultan's opening day record, but it has

managed to emerge as this year's first day highest grosser ever.

Let's check out the many records that this Pa Ranjith film managed

to make on the opening day itself!

1. First things first, only Rajinikanth can break his own records.

No one else, mind you. Kabali managed to show his previous film

Enthiran the door by beating its box office collections of the first day.

2.  Tamil Nadu box office raked in Rs. 21.25 crores, making

it the highest first day figures ever!

3. It also managed to become the highest opening day collection for any

Indian (including Bollywood) film in the US and Canada, collectively

 making almost Rs. 13.50 crores.

4.  This Tamil film had the highest opening day collections in Karnataka :

 Rs 5.10 crores

5. And in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana : Rs. 9.5 crores

6.  And in Kerala : Rs 3 crores.

7.  North India is also not far behind. Kabali collected almost Rs. 5.2 crores

in this part of the country, making it the highest day 1 collection of a Tamil film.

8.  It also has the highest opening day figures for ANY film this year.

The amount you ask? Well, it raked in a whopping Rs 48 crores net.

9. It also made the highest box office collections ever in

South-East Asia for a Tamil film.

10. Last but not the least, as we told you before Rajinikanth has

managed to break his own records. Kabali recorded the highest opening

day collections out of all the Rajini films till now!
